ATS Type A

Made in Germany, ATS (Auto Technisches Spezialzubehör) wheels came to Japan sometime in the late seventies, sporting JWL certification that ATS wheels did not have prior. Even today it is challenging to find a set of Type A’s that do have JWL markings. Those that do, have the appropriate logo cast into the outer face of one of the spokes.

The Type A is now known today as the ATS Classic. It was produced from 1969 originally, and continued production into the late eighties. The Type A came in diameters from 10″ to 15″ in practically every 4 and 5 hole PCD in existence. This is a popular wheel all over the globe.
